AN INTERACTIVE LUMINOUSE FAÇADE!

After entertaining themselves with the dynamic marquee of La Vitrine during the last two editions of the All-Nighter, Montreal residents, visitors and tourists will now be able to enjoy it every night! This interactive screen, which currently lights up La Vitrine Culturelle, is now equipped with a high-tech system, enabling passers-by to interact with light shapes generated by 35,000 LED light bulbs.

Three specially designed interactive games appear one after the other, reacting to the gestures of passers-by. The screen’s interface has been equipped with a series of sensors, which transform the architecture into a luminous creation, adding a new dimension to the neighbourhood. Inspired by the nightlife his impressive multimedia tool was designed by artist Axel Morgentaler and launched at La Vitrine’s official opening in the fall of 2007.

The Quartier des spectacles Partnership and Montreal’s Vitrine Culturelle invite the public to this North-American first, every evening from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., all year round!

Are you scrambling to get tickets to an event that will be held today?

Hey, no worries we have them!

La Vitrine has all of the remaining tickets for most event in the region—often at reduced rates! Launched and managed by the cultural community, La Vitrine receives tickets from ticketing networks and independent ticketing agents for sale to the public. La Vitrine also sells tickets from small cultural companies that, due to a lack of resources or insufficient business volume, do not join existing ticketing networks.

    Meeting a need

Over the past 10 years, the number of visitors to the Greater Montreal Area has jumped by 61%. More than 13 992 000 people contributed, in some form or other, to Montreal's tourist economy over the past few years, with at least 25% participating in a cultural activity. In parallel to this increase in tourism, the number of venues and range of cultural activities has also gone up.

La Vitrine was created to meet the need for a co-ordinated approach to managing offer and demand in the cultural industry, since more effective market targeting is required to boost attendance at cultural events and maximize industry revenue.
